very disappointed

Posted by paradigms on 9/11/2009

very disappointed in Aharts Pizza Garden. I ordered a B.O.T. 14", supposed to come with Basil, Bacon, Onion, and Fresh Tomato. I repeated the order twice, even saying all the ingredients. My sister-in-law picked up the pizza on her way home from work, and when it arrived it was 'The Boro', which is Basil, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Garlic. I really don't like sun dried tomatoes. I called to see what I could do, but unfortunately my family had already 'dug in' and eaten half of it. I took 2 bites and realized they were sun dried and spat it out. Yuck. $17.99 wasted imho. PB&J for me. They really should have taken care of me.

Great food, relaxed attmosphere

This review is a lot more current than the 2 above, 2009 as opposed to 2006, 2004. You will not find your average pizza here. Yes, the crust is like a cracker, not bread. It allows for the wonderfully tasty topping flavors to come through. If you need a carb fix order the bread sticks (I love the pesto). You have no excuse to not try the homemade cheesecake. Most of them are sweetened with Splenda. There are always at least 4 flavors every day, sometimes as many as eight, and Bonita hand makes them all. She is the owner along with her hubby, Randy Ahart.. They are in house almost every day to give you the personal, locally owned experience you can't get in a chain restaurant. The only downside is it's too far for me to drive there everyday.

Pizza OK ----Service Fair

This little pizza place is near home which I like. The pizza was fair--crust and sauce could have been better. I will continue to visit.

Nice Atmoshphere, Awful Pizza

Posted by djandla on 12/16/2004

When we walked in, we thought, "Wow! A nice little dive-like pizza place. It has the atmosphere of a real pizza parlor. That's about all I can say that is good. The pizza toppings are wonderful. However, the crust makes me think that I am eating a cracker with pizza toppings. It is very thin and tastes just like a saltine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE WHITE PIZZA SAUCE!!!!! It's more like a garlic and ricotta cheese spread than a sauce. Service was good, but when I was asked how everything was and I expressed my honest opinion, I was ignored.
